It is also intended for any woman of color who has been diagnosed with any breast lesion or have a personal or family history of breast cancer and is seeking answers. It is for health care personnel who come into contact in one way or the other with women of color who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The big idea behind the book is to provide a comprehensive but still easy to read and understand book on breast cancer as it pertains to women of color. It is to present the unique findings of breast cancer as it occurs in blacks and make current knowledge available. To present the differences in breast cancer in blacks as compared to whites. Make it have as many photos as possible and illustrations as well that will eliminate myths and misconception regarding the disease and make it available.
